I was inside at home and when I walked past the front door the colour of the light coming through the glass panels caught my attention. When I opened the door the colour of the sky sent me running for my camera. I did not have time to setup the tripod or to use manual settings, so I just rested the camera on the roof of the car and switched to landscape mode. I was happy just to have captured this.

There is a small lake just a few minutes walk from our house that is quiet and relaxing. Occasionally we will take the kids down there to feed the ducks. This is not the greatest photo but I am still working on following moving subjects.

This would have to be one of the best presents I have ever received. I love my coffee and now I can have real coffee every day.

I wanted to take photos tonight but it was getting dark outside. I went scrounging around the house looking for anything interesting starting with B but no luck. I settled on another one of the kids toys – Barbie. To give it a bit of interest I also gave the hair some movement with the hair dryer.

I wasn’t quite sure where to start this project, so I ended up with a bright, still object – the kids abacus.
